2024 Facing Pages Statewide Literary Arts Convening

SEPTEMBER 15-17, 2024 in New York City

Join literary colleagues from across New York State for this year’s annual gathering.

You can look forward to poems, panels, generative sessions & discussions with plenty of downtime to connect and reconnect with literary colleagues and friends. As always, your ideas and perspectives will be at the center of our discussions. Our goal is for you to leave joyful, connected, and supported, with new resources to better advance your own work and the work of your organization.

The 2024 LitNYS Convening registration deadline has passed.

We're at full capacity but, if you wish to be added to the Waiting List, please email us at submissions@justbuffalo.org.

Travel Assistance for the 2024 LitNYS Convening

LitNYS is committed to supporting broad participation in the convening. This includes those from all parts of the state and from organizations of all sizes.

If travel costs are a hardship, you may request assistance to help with expenses. All are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

CLMP Travel Grants

If you are a NYS-based literary magazine or press, you can apply directly to CLMP (Community of Literary Magazines & Presses) for a Travel Grant of up to $100.

If you are a NYS-based nonprofit literary magazine or press traveling more than 60 miles to attend the Facing Pages LitNYS Convening, and your expenses will exceed $100, you may also then apply for a LitNYS travel reimbursement of up to $500.

You may also contact Montana Agte-Studier, Director of Membership and NYSCA NYTAP, at magte-studier@clmp.org with any questions.

LitNYS Travel Reimbursements

If you are traveling more than 60 miles to attend the Convening, you can request a LitNYS travel reimbursement of up to $500. There is a limit of one per organization, and it may be used toward hotel, mileage, train, and flight.

You will claim by submitting a travel reimbursement form to submissions@justbuffalo.org with receipt/documentation within 60 days of the Convening to receive a reimbursement check of up to $500.
